Ask Why, Not What

One of the main problems in healthcare is the obsession of asking " what is it?" In this episode we suggest that the more important question is, "Why is it?"
When someone goes to the doctor with a health issue one of the most common questions the doctor gets is, "What is it?" This does little to help the patient. The real questions should be, "Why is it?" Perhaps if we were more concerned with why health problems are present as opposed to naming them, we would not be as sick as a nation as the U.S. currently is.
